Vice President, VP Yemi Osinbajo, was allegedly involved in a severe motor accident in Abuja along Airport Road that reportedly left several other persons in a very critical state.

However, some other confirmations coming in from the VPs camp show that Professor Osinbajo was not directly affected in the accident.

According to his Spokesperson, Laolu Akande, he revealed that the Vice President was on his way to Ondo on a condolence visit when the tragic incident happened, adding that he was not involved in the accident.

Recall that the Vice President was supposed to be at the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Primary holding Monday 6, 2022.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday stopped his convoy to rescue people who had been involved in an auto crash along the airport road.

Showing concern to the affected Nigerians, Prof. Osinbajo, as well as his security aides were joined by other Nigerians at the scene of the accident to rescue some of the accident victims and pull them from the vehicle.

Initially, the earlier report about the incident failed to verify whether or not the VP was really involved in the ghastly accident and swiftly reported that he was affected and may need some medical attention.

The controversy started when a witness at the accident site sent in a video claiming that the crash was the vice president’s and his convoy.
