The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gbenga Ogbara of the Atakumosa East Central Local Government Area, Osun State, has been shot dead by some assassins.
In a report that broke out on Monday, it was gathered that Ogbara was shot dead in his Ogangan house in the early hours of Monday.
Confirming the incident, Yemisi Opalola, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Osun State Command, said an investigation is still ongoing on the APC chairman’s death and perpetrators would be made to face the law.
The police PRO said, “The APC Chairman was killed around midnight by some gunmen. Policemen have since been deployed to the area. An investigation is ongoing on the matter. The criminals will not escape justice.”
