Another Rape Case in Ogun State

A 35-year-old man in Ogun state has been reprimanded in court for the rape of a physically challenged girl in the state.

The man, Kehinde who lives in Abule Isale, Ilogbo road in Ogun state was said to have raped the girl at his residence on Thursday 12th February at about 10:30pm according to the prosecutor, Insp. E.O. Adaraloye. He also said the offence was in conflict with section 360 of the criminal code Vol. 1, 2006 of Ogun state.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and the magistrate of the court, Mrs A.O. Adeyemi granted bail to him to the sum of NGN50,000 with two sureties of the same sum of money.

Mrs Adeyemi also gave conditions for the sureties that are to be accepted, stating that they should be within the court’s jurisdiction and must be employed, presenting evidence of gainful employment and tax to the Ondo state government.

The case has been adjourned till the 19th of June.
