The President, Corporate United Allstars FC ltd, Godwin Enemona Ekpah, alias Godons, has opined that football is an important avenue through which unemployment is tackled worldwide, and would be narrowed down to the grassroots’ level.

Godons stated that football has been central to man’s connection to life and development in general.

Identifying what football represents, he spoke about the feats accomplished via the sporting category, adding that if replicated in every settlement, it would promote unification.

Epkah gave an instance in ivory coast where the sporting competition was used to unify different ethnic groups in the country.

He made this known yesterday during the inauguration of Corporate United Allstars FC Ltd Club, in Kubwa, Abuja with focus on ‘Football Academy, Production of Made-In-Nigeria Football and Allstars Football Activities.’

Ekpah insisted that there is a lack of proper leadership in Nigeria that is discouraging Made-In-Nigeria sporting gears, tools, gadgets, facilities, equipments, to mention a few.

The president spoke on the need to prosper Nigerian products which is currently in shortfall in the present political dispensation.

The President revealed that they drafted a pivotal policy to help identify new talents that would aid players prosper and cater for their families, among other needs.

He talked about partnership and cited that with ICON sports, their support to the project is thus far fruitful, as far as the launching is concerned.

He lauded Allstars Pro, Raw Material Sports Club, Great Soccer Ambassador, Representatives of Benson and Hedges, among other special sporting guests for supporting the epoch event.

On his part, the President of the Board of Committee, Humphrey Ubimago, spoke on the task assigned to the committee and spelt out the expections for the club.

He, however, hinted that peradventure the committee fails on its mandate, they’d be recalled and the task reassigned to competent hand without sentiments.

Meanwhile, he wished the committee the best of luck in delivering their mandates before the slated deadline.

Information reaching journalists at the inauguration was that Prince Emmanuel Laurence of Promise Land Building and Construction Ltd, gave a token of one million naira, plus other reasonable donations to foster the newly launched project.

The CEO PromiseLand Building & Construction Limited, Ambassador Lawrence Emmanuel, is the major Sponsor of the Football Academy programme.

He assured to provide an enabling environment for raw talented footballers in Nigeria to succeed.

The Amb. promised to provide training facilities such as their training bibs, jerseys, accommodation and any other support needed to see these young talented players excel.

The Director of Academy, Corporate United Allstars FC Ltd – Pastor Frank Nweze, could not hide his excitement over this huge development.

He said effective collaboration will be done with all stakeholders to see through to the success of this project.

In the same vein, the Managing Director, Mr. Valentine Abiji of Valing Homes and Property pledged to be part of the support team.

Similarly, Chairman, All-stars Pro, FO1, Abdulsalami I., contributed his quota in terms of financial commitment. The B&H Reps also assured their donation to the course.

Pastor Frank Nweze, Director of Academy – Corporate United Allstars FC Ltd and other interested parties invested in the project to have it up and running in no time.
