‘Allah knows that we are in a serious calamity in our zone.’ These are the exact words of the former Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa.
He made this statement yesterday while discussing with the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC Hausa Service on the spate of insecurity in the country.
Bafarawa decried the insecurity challenges in Sokoto and Zamfara states, respectively, and he noted that the Government should place politics aside and focus on the matters affecting the people.
Buhari Will Answer to Allah– Bafarawa
The ex-Sokoto State Governor, pictured in a sombre mood, criticised President Muhammadu Buhari on negligence.
Without fear or favour, the former Governor reiterated that the President, in the end, would be answerable to Allah.
He urged Buhari to attempt to tackle the security challenges in the North-West region precisely, stressing that insecurity is a catastrophe that has befallen Nigerians in general.
“Those people telling President Muhammadu Buhari that everything is OK, or are they telling him things are not OK? If they tell him things are going on fine, they have cheated him and have cheated us too.” He said.
