Alaafin of Oyo’s Daughter Emerges UNILAG Best Graduating Student

The daughter of the Alaafin of Oyo, Adedoja Adeyemi, has emerged as the best graduating masters student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Princess Adedoja graduated from the Institute of African and Diasporic Studies where she received a Master’s degree in African and Diasporic Studies.

The 24-year-old graduated with a CGPA of 4.63 and becomes the first student to finish from the department with Honors since the inception of the department in 2017.

The University of Lagos had its 52nd convocation ceremony on Thursday, with the Alaafin of Oyo, Alaafin Oba Adeyemi III present to celebrate his daughter on her successful feat.

The excited Princess took to her Instagram page to share the great news with pictures of herself in the convocation gown.

She captioned it “Masters Degree bagged!; Master of Arts Degree in African and Diaspora Studies, the University of Lagos (with a Distinction -Best Graduating Student, Institute of African and Diaspora Studies).”
