Famous Nigerian Singer and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade popularly known as Mr Eazi on Sunday, July 19, 2020, clocked 29 years old.
Mr Eazi, who released his debut mixtape in 2013 gained an international audience following the release of his single titled Skin Tight.
You will recall that the Singer in August 2019 launched a talent incubation initiative, emPawa Africa to nurture and support up-and-coming African artists.
It was gathered that thirty musicians would be enrolled in the first edition and would receive grant and mentorship to scale up their music career.
Earlier, Everyevery.ng had reported that Mr Eazi has taken up a project of raising $20 million to invest in African music creatives.
According to Mr Eazi, the reason behind this project is to create a new funding model for the music business in Africa through the Africa Music Fund (AMF).
He stated that artists cannot go to banks to get money for their music because financial institutions don’t understand how to secure intellectual property.
According to him, there is no finance product for musicians because not a lot of people understand the music business.
He revealed that beneficiaries of the project will be funded based on their revenue and projected income.
The songwriter added that artiste will be able to pay back the investment from streaming revenue. noting that the initial advance will be paid back in instalments as their income rises.
