American actress Regina King has lost her only son Ian Alexander Jr. after committing suicide.
The devastating death of the 26-year-old was shared in a statement released by the kings family.
The statement read, “Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian.
“He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others.
“Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you.”
Ian was the only child of Regina with her ex-husband Ian Alexander Sr.
The late Ian was known for always accompanying his award-winning mum to the red carpet events, until his death, was an artist and a disc jockey.
