AC Milan is close to making Chelsea’s star player Fikayo Tomori a permanent deal. The Chelsea centre-back joined Milan last season on loan and has since been very impressive. The 23-year-old had a clause with the Italian Serie A side, enabling the move to be made permanent at the end of the season.
AC Milan to Make Fikayo Tomori’s Deal A Permanent One
The England defender played 17 games and scored one goal in Serie A for AC Milan since his arrival. Before arriving at Milan, he was hardly in the Chelsea line-up. He made only four appearances during the first half of the season. His only two starts came in the Carabao Cup, with one substitute appearance in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup.
Fikayo Tomori signed a five-year deal with Chelsea in December 2019, soon after his England debut against Kosovo, having switched his international allegiance after representing his native Canada at the Under-20 level. According to reports, AC Milan has made him one of their most wanted player, and they believe he has adopted the “progressive football” the team is trying to play.
