Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has presented staffs of office to the new Olupako of Share, Oba Haruna Suleiman and the Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius.
During the presentation on Monday, Governor Abdulrazaq said he believes that traditional institutions are great enablers of unity, peace and socio-economic development in the society.
He stated that his administration followed the rules and respected the traditions and culture of the affected communities in the emergence of the new monarchs without undue interference.
The governor, however, congratulated the new monarchs, their families, the kingmakers, critical stakeholders, and the people of their communities.
According to the governor, no one is crowned except it is ordained by Almighty God. He urged the Monarchs to be grateful to God for honouring them with the thrones of their forebears.
Meanwhile, Abdulrazaq appealed to all relevant stakeholders to work with the new monarchs.
Speaking on behalf of the new monarchs, the Olupako of Share, Oba Haruna Olawale Suleiman expressed gratitude to the governor and the Kwara state traditional council for the appointment as he also pledged loyalty and support to all government policies.
Oba Olawale noted that the monarchs acknowledge the effort of the Governor Abdulrazaq led-government in maintaining peace and harmony in the state.
