Abdulrasheed Bawa, the current Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reportedly collapsed while participating in an Abuja event.
The EFCC boss, who was present at the 3rd National Identity Day Commemoration, was said to have fainted inside the Banquet Hall at the Villa.
In a detailed report on how the incident occurred, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Chairman unexpectedly discontinued delivering his goodwill message to the congregation.
Everyevery gathered from posts making the rounds that Abdulrasheed Bawa swiftly retreated to his comfort zone before leaning backwards and tactically relaxing on the seat allocated to him.
Fortunately for the anti-corruption advocator, some other top dignitaries and politicians were present at the incident scene to quietly grab Bawa before touching the floor.
The safe landing for the EFCC boss was made possible by Professor Isa Pantami, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, as well as other prominent figures closely seated to him.
Bawa was scooped out of the banquet hall successfully. No other update regarding his current health situation has been disclosed, as the Commission has not prompted the public yet or issued an official statement on the matter.
Bawa Under Stable Condition
Later, the Master of Ceremony, MC, announced that he was in a stable condition, saying, “I am happy to announce to you that the EFCC Chairman is now stable.”
It was stated that the EFCC chairman and those who rushed him out were yet to return to the hall as at time of filing this report.
But other sources revealed that the anti-graft agency has hinted that EFCC boss is fine and would soon return to his functions.
