The police in Abuja have bundled up a gang that kidnapped, tortured and killed Mohammed Danjuma, the zonal officer in the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation.
Findings revealed that the Late Danjuma was murdered by notorious ‘one chance’ criminals after he boarded their vehicle with the intention of going from Berger to Tipper Garage, Katampe. These kidnappers took a different route from that of his destination and proceeded to attack and kill him with a wheel spanner.
After gruesomely murdering him, the criminals took his valuables which included his ATM which they used to withdraw all the money from his account to buy a Mazda car.
Days after he went missing, Danjuma’s remains were found in the Gwagwa-Kagini area on March 16 without any of his personal effects including his debit card which was used to steal all his money.
The gang members arrested with connection to his murder, named Chukwuebuka Obiekulia, aka Ebuka-Jesus, 25; Sadiq Abubakar, aka Alhaji or Doggy, 21; Daniel Owowo, 26; Friday Musa, aka Afra, 20; and John Shedrach, 24.
Between 20- 27 May, 2020 officers from the Federal Territory Police Command raided the Tasha 1 district of Gwagwa and they were apprehended.
DSP Anjuguri Manzah , the FCT police spokesman confirmed the incident saying that the detectives recovered a Mazda 626 car with number plate KWL 132 CN and another Mazda 323 car with number plate CF 123 KSF from the suspects. He promises that they will be arraigned after thorough investigations.
