Abductee Rescued In Less Than 24 Hours

In fact, it is not all doom and gloom for security forces who are charged with dealing with insecurity in Nigeria. In some positive news, a combined security operatives team have seen an abductee rescued in Osun State.

It was gathered that shooters had kidnapped travellers along Omoh/Erin-Ijesha road in Ori-Ade Local Government Area of Osun State on Sunday night.

A source from the Police in the area said that the gunmen kidnapped a man and a woman and harried them into a nearby bush around Ori-Oke Omoh. In contrast, others were left at the scene.

How was the abductee rescued?

Furthermore, the Police, operatives of the Nigerian Airforce, Amotekun corps officials, hunters and vigilante men were deployed to the busy road in response to the incident.

The joint efforts of these security operatives saw the abductee rescued from the kidnappers.

The spokesperson of the Police in Osun, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.

She added that the State Commissioner for Police, Wale Olokode on Monday morning had a meeting with the Nigerian Airforce and leaders of the Amotekun corps. The hunters and vigilante in the state were also asked to join the operation to rescue the abducted woman and ensure an end to the state’s criminal activities.

Efforts are ongoing to ensure that the remaining abductee is rescued as soon as possible.
