Kingdom
Let me start this piece with a question. Until Kingdom Kroseide emerged as Nigerian Idol Winner 2021, what exactly did you know about him?
Well, once you’ve answered that question, what I’m about to reveal to you would expose the champion’s personal life and hopefully attract you to liking him the more or otherwise. The ball is in your court.
But before we delve into the life of Kingdom, it seems relatively fair to comprehend his journey briefly, during the event that lasted for sixteen weeks and judged by Seyi Shay, DJ Sose, and Obi Asika, respectively.
Nigerian Idol season 6 received sixty-eight contestants on April 24, 2021. The judges drastically reduced the number of participants to fourteen, who they later gave golden tickets to take part in the event proper.
Out of the fourteen contestants that made it to the next stage, surviving the segment called ‘Theatre Week,’ eleven of them were scrutinised and confirmed for the highly-rated anticipated finals.
The finalists include Comfort Alalade, Akunna Okey, Faith Onyeje, Kingdom Kroseide, Dotun Deloye, Francis Atela, Daniel Ikechi, Beyonce Ajomiwe, Clinton Francis, Emmanuel Elijah, and Faith Mac.
On July 11, Kingdom had to out-sing his competitions, especially after defeating Francis Atela at the grand finale to rise as the undisputed winner. Of course, the decision to crown Kingdom as the winner was determined through public votes, as the programme’s management had already strip judges of the power to evict or keep contestants in the house.
As promised, the Nigerian Idol Group delivered a cash prize of thirty-million naira (N30 million), a brand new SUV, a six-track EP recording deal with three music videos. The package also had an all-expense-paid trip to Seychelles and a weekend getaway trip for two to Dubai.
Meanwhile, there were other prizes offered to the winner, Kingdom, he also went home with a wide range of Tecno products, Bigi branded refrigerator plus one year supply of Bigi drinks, and a DSTV Explora fully installed with a premium subscription for 12 months.
Starting in no particular order:
And for the new record, he’s currently worth over fifty million naira (N50 million) if the assets and contractual packages are included in the equation.
My piece of advice to you reading this article is to go out there and conquer, if you have the talent of singing, for you might just be the next winner of any talent show out there.
