The National Digital Economy Policy And Strategy, NDEPS, is a programme that aims to uplift the Nigerian youths out of poverty and empower them to become self-reliant in society.
According to the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Professor Umar Danbatta, he explained that NDEPS 2020 to 2030 programme aims to implement the Federal Government’s policy of engaging the youth in productive ventures to make them financially independent.
This statement was made by the NCC Director of Public Affairs, Dr Ikechukwu Adinde, at the North-West two-week training organised by the Commission yesterday in Kano Campus of Digital Bridge Institute, DBI.
Speaking further, Danbatta explained that the policy implementation would stand as a practical demonstration of government seriousness in achieving a particular critical pillar of NDEPS 2020-2030.
NCC’s Executive Vice-Chairman also charged the Nigerian youths to acquire the needed skills, including the required Information and Communication Technology, ICT tools received during the nationwide digital literacy training exercise, to put into legitimate use.
