The Nigerian broadcasting industry was on Wednesday, June 17 thrown into mourning following the demise of famous Nigerian-American broadcaster, Radio consultant and event organiser, Dan Foster, who reportedly died of COVID-19 complications.

The late broadcaster popularly known as The Big Dawg had many years of experience as he worked with different radio stations both in the United States of America, USA and Nigeria before his death.

1. He worked with Cathy Hughes Radio One, Mix 106.5 in the U.S before moving to Nigeria where he worked with Cool FM between 2000 and 2009 and later joined Inspiration FM after which he joined City FM, Lagos state.

He later moved to Classic FM 97.3 in 2016 and that was where he was working until his death in June 2020.

2. Dan Foster, who studied Broadcasting and Drama at the Morgan State University was an Idol series judge also held a similar position with the Got Talent franchise.

Dan who was a judge on Nigeria’s Got Talent featured in a movie titled Face of a Liar in 2001.

3. He won many awards including the Best Radio Presenter of the year, City People Awards, and the Nigeria Media Merit Awards as the Best Radio Personality in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
