Amid speculations making the rounds that Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello is interested in the 2023 Presidency, a former Minister of Aviation, Fani Kayode, has justified why Governor Bello should run for the Presidency.
In a tweet on Sunday, the former Minister noted that it is absurd to ask the Kogi state Governor not to run for the 2023 Presidency.
According to him, the North Central has not produced a democratically-elected President and should not settle for another position come 2023.
He added that Nigeria needs solid, decisive leadership, a generational change and a bridge-builder.
Meanwhile, there seems to be a good rapport between the Ex-Minister and the Kogi state Governor, whom many have considered unfit to rule Nigeria.
Though he has not publicly declared his ambition to become the President, there is publicity from some quarters, particularly from people who wants him to build on what they describe as his achievement as a governor.
You will recall that Olujonwo Obasanjo, son of former president Olusegun Obasanjo has thrown his weight behind Bello’s aspiration.
Olujonwo urged Governor Bello to step up his aspirations for the 2023 Presidency to create leadership space for the youths.
EveryEvery.ng reported that Obasanjo said the Nigerian youths had been neglected for too long despite their numerical strength and contributions in electioneering processes.
He opined that Governor Bello had done well in the total inclusion of youths in governance for effective governance (read more here).
