A former Presidential Candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has raised the alarm over the 2023 elections; he also reiterated calls for Revolution.
The Human Rights activist noted that Nigerian leaders had written the results for the 2023 elections. According to Sowore, only a revolution can set Nigerians free from the shackles of bad leadership and tyranny in the country.
Taking to social media, Sowore urged Nigerians to join the nationwide protest slated for August 5 in the continuation of RevolutionNow agitations. He emphasized the need for aggrieved Nigerians to protest against the current hardship in the land.
The former Presidential Candidate noted that the forthcoming protests would be a total lockdown at home and abroad. He said diaspora citizens would rally to the nearest Nigerian embassy or the UN office around them.
Meanwhile, he described President Muhammadu Buhari as the greatest Yahoo man in Nigeria, noting that only a Revolution can secure the freedom of Nigerians from what he described as evil internal colonizers.
You will recall that Famous Nigerian singer and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz The Bahdguy, had raised the alarm over what he described as the plan by the National Assembly to increase campaign expenses in the new electoral bill ahead of the 2023 elections.
Falz urged his followers to call their lawmakers representing their constituencies to reject the new electoral bill.
He alleged that the National Assembly had increased the campaign expenses for President from 1 billion naira to 15 billion, increased the costs for the Governorship campaign from 200 million naira to 5 billion naira; they also increased the fees for Senate campaign from 40 million naira to 1.5 billion naira.
