Championship side Middlesbrough has been drowning with Uefa Champion League defending champions Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-final. Last season’s runners-up are the reward for Boro, who have beaten Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the previous two rounds.
Crystal Palace will host Everton after the Toffees beat non-league Boreham Wood in the fifth round 2-0 while Southampton will host Premier League leaders and defending champions Manchester City. Nottingham Forest or Huddersfield will host Liverpool depending on who wins between Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield.
Chelsea’s trip to the North East will be a repeat of the 1997 FA Cup final, in which the Blues won 2-0 at Wembley. The games will be played on the weekend of 19 and 20th of March.
