Many Nigerians have taken to different social media platforms to reminiscence over the shooting of some peaceful EndSARS protesters at Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos State.
While some expressed optimism that the investigation carried out by Cable Network News, CNN would bring the perpetrators of the shooting to Justice, others said they were disappointed that no one has been brought to book yet.
One of the leading voices during the EndSARS protests, FK Abudu noted that a month ago today, people who were protesting peacefully, singing the national and waving their flags, were attacked, injured and killed.
However, Abudu stated that Nigerians would not forget the victims of the Lekki Massacre adding that she hopes they will get justice.
Meanwhile, the Minister of information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed had on Thursday described the report by CNN as one-dimensional and as such that lacked balance.
Mohammed stressed that CNN should be sanctioned for publishing the report.
Reacting, CNN insisted that the report was carried out after thorough research over the Lekki shooting.
Below are some of the tweets about the 1-month remembrance of the victims of Lekki Massacre
@OfficialRMD “Today makes it exactly a month to the 20.10.20 #LekkiMassaccre #LekkiGenocide incident which will never be forgotten”
@iam_doctormayor “It’s been a month since innocent unarmed protesters were shot at, some killed & others injured at Lekki toll gate.”
@emsea5fire “Rest on brothers and sisters…you were victims because we all wanted a good and new Nigeria…your deaths will never be in vain…we love you..the almighty God loves you more…rest in perfect peace”
Earlier, Lai Mohammed had stated that famous Nigerian Disk jockey, DJ Switch would be exposed soon.
You will recall that Dj Switch who caught the incidence via her Instagram Live session has since stated that she had received threats to her life.
